DynDNS update fails constantly

My YunoHost server

**Hardware:Raspberry Pi 3 at home
YunoHost version: 11.1.5.5
I have access to my server : ssh and webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

The DynDNS of my instance does not update any more:
I searched the forum but did not find any solution for my particular case.

dig @8.8.8.8 alfabravo.nohost.me
still resolves the last (outdated) IP, even though it changed hours ago.

yunohost dyndns update --force
fails with Error: Could not update IP address to DynDNS

What can we try to fix this?

I think we can rule out our connection. A lot of us have the same problem and more will probably experience it as soon as their IP changes. There probably isn’t much we can do if the ynh-Server refuses the connection.

diagnosis now shows that dns records are incorrect/not updated.

fails, among other things complaining that

Yes, the 11.1.9. update fixed the problem, thank you! Everything is running as it used to.

(The upgrade to 11.1.9 should be unrelated, this was an issue on our infrastructure, not in yunohost’s code)

I just ran the newest updates available on the yunohost webadmin page earlier today, and unfortunately the problem is back:

  • I can’t reach my server via web,
  • on the user login it says “Redirection error: Invalid URL”, and
  • trying to run the dyndns update command results in an error:
admin@biba:~ $ sudo yunohost dyndns update --force

Error: [Errno 110] Connection timed out

Update: After today’s new updates, the “Redirection error: Invalid URL” is finally gone, thanks. I hope it’ll stay stable now.

Same here, I cannot reach my yunohost any more.

As noted here, the update is now timing out again.

According to isitdownrightnow.com dyndns.yunohost.org is down
