N8n first login not possible due to LDAP issue?

I have an issue using n8n on yunohost.

I would be grateful for any tips about where my setup and attempts (see below) might be going wrong. :crossed_fingers::purple_heart:

My YunoHost server

Hardware: Old computer - Mac Mini circa 2014
YunoHost version: 11.1.19 (running on VM via VirtualBox)
I have access to my server :

  • Through SSH
  • through the webadmin
  • direct access via keyboard / screen

Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

What you are trying to achieve
Log in to n8n on yunohost after install.

The context

After installing yunohost, on first opening the app a log in window appears, as outlined in this post: Connection to n8n impossible

No login associated with the yunohost install works, including the first created login and root.

There are no logs for errors as far as I know, because there are no errors.

I wonder if this issue is associated with the LDAP permissions issue outlined here: Problems connecting to YunoHost's LDAP database the user cn=admin no longer exists in the new version of YunoHost - Support - YunoHost Forum

I donโ€™t have PHPLDAPAdmin experience, and would be grateful for any tips.

What I tried

Attempt 1:

  • Entering all logins.

Result 1: No success.

Attempt 2:

  • Installing Dex and connecting to LDAP that way.

Result 2: No success. I canโ€™t access n8nโ€™s OIDC secret or callback URI before logging in to n8n.

What version of n8n are you using?

Installed version: 0.218.0~ynh1

@rubensflinco Do you have a different version of n8n working?

I see older posts about this being an issue after YH upgrade.
