Trying to revive old discussions, unfortunately closed without much progress.
There have been several discussions around (batch) creation of new user accounts, and how to handle the need for a password reset by newly created users.
Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to have been any progress since years on that front.
It seems to me that the latest instance of an issue on that front is Provide users with a way to reset their password · Issue #878 · YunoHost/issues · GitHub which is the main blocker.
In the meantime, are there any recent ways to work around this limitation, that people would be willing to share ?
Our use case is the need to import a bunch of users (dozens), and we could manually generate passwords for them (or with scripting if that still exists), but then how to make sure users will login and proceed with the password change, to avoid security issues (and also make sure they’re ready for future use of the apps) ?
