Bonjour,
Je souhaite dédier un second serveur (dans un autre lieu) aux sauvegardes de mon serveur principal mondomaine.ynh.fr. J’aimerais assigner à ce second serveur le domaine backup.mondomaine.ynh.fr.
Le diagnostic du second serveur me dit que l’enregistrement DNS est incorrect : la valeur actuelle est en effet l’IP du serveur principal mondomaine.ynh.fr et non son IP.
Est-il possible de configurer manuellement les enregistrements DNS des noms de domaines offerts par YNH ? Ou existe-t-il une autre astuce ?

I want to dedicate a second server (in a different location) to backups of my main server, mydomain.ynh.fr. I’d like to assign the backup.mydomain.ynh.fr domain to this second server.
The diagnostics for the second server tell me that the DNS record is incorrect: the current value is the IP address of the main server, mydomain.ynh.fr, and not its own IP address.
Is it possible to manually configure the DNS records for domain names offered by YNH? Or is there another way?

I do this all the time, with no problem or remark in the diagnosis.

One difference is that I do not use a *.ynh.fr domain, but a “regular” self owned domain.

Did you perhaps not only add the subdomain, but also your main domain to you new server?

No I didn’t (and I think it’s impossible to do so), I really do think it’s a limitation of the use of the *.ynh.fr domain.
As a workaround I chose mydomain2.ynh.fr for the second server. I use also this server to show a status page with Uptime Kuma : the redirect app simply redirect status.mydomain.ynh.fr to status.mydomain2.ynh.fr.
One day I will buy my own domain like you and solve this (very minor) issue !

Once you do, have a look at a site like https://tldes.com/fr to compare prices. Pay more attention to the renewal price than the price for the first year (the first year often has a deduction, but of course it is only a one-time deduction).
