Ynh 11 to 12 app migration

My YunoHost server

Hardware: VPS bought online
YunoHost version: 12.0.2
I have access to my server : Through SSH | through the webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no

Description of my issue

hey, i am finally converting from my pc at home to a vps. i am still on ynh 11 at home. installed ynh 12 on the vps.
what is the best way to migrate my apps. i am hoping that i dont have to upgrade ynh11 to 12 β†’ backup β†’ restore…

I don’t think you need to do anything in particulars, apps backedup from a yunohost 11 instance should be restorable on 12

aye, thats good to hear. tried restoring kanboard which had permission issues, think i solved it by recreating all the users - still some issue left. ill investigate further. thanx

kanboard is up and running!

  • ynh 11 kanboard backup β†’ changed the domain name in the confs, and nginx dir β†’ upload / restore in ynh 12
  • users on new server need to match old

do i need to manually update the references to the new domain in the backup?

sogo

  • new install / setup. working. i need some smtp stuff introduced in 5.11 and saw ynh install is triggering a system install. currently debian has v5.08

nightly repo

  • add repository β†’ install through ynh ui
