Upgrade Nextcloud from 29.0.10~ynh2 to 32.0.6~ynh1

I am trying to upgrade Nextcloud from 29.0.10~ynh2 to 32.0.6~ynh1, but it doesn’t work. Is this step to big?

It seems to have to do something with php; but I don’t get it…
And it says something about “Nextcloud or one of the apps require upgrade - only a limited number of commands are available”

But all NC apps are updated…

Hello,

To update Nextcloud from version 29.0.10~ynh2 to version 32.0.6~ynh1, it would have been better to proceed in stages, from version 29 to version 30, then to version 31, etc.

Some Nextcloud applications compatible with version 29 are probably no longer compatible or have become obsolete.

But yunohost is only offering me the latest NExtcloud, not the ones in between… so how would I do that?

I have always had the intermediate versions on my server, and yesterday I did the update of version 32.0.5~ynh1 to version 32.0.6~ynh1.

Yunohost has always offered them so far, at last, at home…

that is super nice. But now the question is: what is the best thing to do when you did not do the intermediate version?

Find on this forum if someone has already found themselves in the same situation, which would not be surprising.
There is certainly a way to make these interim updates, I have never found myself in the same situation as you, I have always followed the updates.

Personally, if I were in your situation, I would save the content (Photos, Documents…).
Then I will uninstall Nextcloud to re-install a clean installation and remember to make updates in the future.
