Update stuck on nginx-common

Hi all,

I ran a system update through the webadmin, as there were quite a few packages to update, but the update process got stuck at Setting up nginx-common (1.22.1-9+deb12u1). What is the suggested procedure in this case?

I am new with Yunohost and I find myself exactly in the same situation, pending on Setting up nginx-common (1.22.1-9+deb12u1) ...

So I’m afraid to close my browser

+1 to know what is the best practice to adopt in this kind of situation? Is it better to apply updates via command lines?

I tried connecting with another browser at the same time, and the updates apparently installed successfully

I suspect the update service display was bugged when it applied the nginx update

That actually makes kind of sense, since NGINX is the web server, it would restart upon its update and your browser would temporarily lose its connection with it.

However as a feature, we should be able to reestablish that connection and not let the update screen hanging.

I find this happens quite often during updates. Refreshing the page usually sorts everything out.

Makes perfect sense and indeed it solved the issue, I was just worried of refreshing the page

Starting with YunoHost 12.1 (currently in testing), we have a new mechanism that syncs what’s happening in the CLI and the browser. After that version you can definitely refresh the page without worries.
