Description of my issue

I am unable to upload videos to my peertube instance. Halfway through uploading a video, the green progress bar stops, it kicks me back to the upload videos screen and says unknown error.

I am also unable to import a video with a torrent, I get a server error message “server error. please retry later”.

I am able to import a video from a url, as I was able to add a video from my YT channel.

Can anyone please help me figure out what the problem is?

It is pretty annoying to have to upload to Youtube then import to Peertube. The whole point of installing a Peertube instance is to avoid Youtube completely.

Description de mon problème

Je ne parviens pas à télécharger des vidéos sur mon instance Peertube. À mi-chemin du téléchargement d’une vidéo, la barre de progression verte s’arrête, elle me renvoie à l’écran de téléchargement de vidéos et indique une erreur inconnue.

Je suis également incapable d’importer une vidéo avec un torrent, j’obtiens un message d’erreur de serveur “erreur de serveur. Veuillez réessayer plus tard”.

Je peux importer une vidéo à partir d’une URL, car j’ai pu ajouter une vidéo à partir de ma chaîne YouTube.

Quelqu’un peut-il m’aider s’il vous plaît à comprendre quel est le problème?

Il est assez ennuyeux de devoir télécharger sur Youtube puis importer sur Peertube. L’intérêt de l’installation d’une instance Peertube est d’éviter complètement Youtube.

Not sure to be able to help you but it may help to tell what’s the approximative size of the video (10MB, 100MB, 1GB, 10GB …?)

One video which I was able to upload was 127 mb, the other which keeps failing is 180 mb. I don’t know how big the video I linked from my YT is, because I uploaded it like 2 yrs ago.
