Unable to create mail client on Thunderbird for FreeDNS domain

Thunderbird cannot find my email account settings.

I am able to mail to this address however.

You should follow precisely what’s described on this page : https://yunohost.org/#/email_configure_client_en

Notice that there’s no dot in front of the domain on the IMAP / SMTP lines, and you should change the SSL / Authentication methods

This actually is a problem. Why doesn’t it take default setting by itself as it takes for every popular email providers?

Because this needs to be implemented : https://dev.yunohost.org/issues/68 and is just one tasks among thousands :confused:

Removed the dots. It works now!
Yippee :slight_smile:

I’m finally progressing after months of being swamped.
Moving on to the next question…

@sambillings553
This has been fixed in yunohost 3.2.x . I think you will not face any issue now in configuration mail on email clients.

[moderation]I have removed the post of sambillings because it’s an adverstisment. It was his/her first post and it was a link to a commercial services.[/moderation]
