I’ve been using my NAS as the download location for well over a year now. As of a few days ago, I’m getting “permission denied” on every torrent. Nothing seems to have changed on the NAS end.

Hello, have you correctly setup user access ?
You need to have something else :

drwxrwxr-x+  4 debian-transmission www-data            4096 Dec 18 00:05 .
drwxr-xr-x  13 root                root                4096 Dec 18 00:06 ..
lrwxrwxrwx   1 debian-transmission www-data              21 Dec 18 00:05 completed -> /media/datas/torrent/
drwxrwxr-x+  2 debian-transmission debian-transmission 4096 Jan 21 22:18 progress
drwxrwxr-x+  2 debian-transmission debian-transmission 4096 Jul 26  2022 watched

Turns out the directories were unmounted. I never even thought to check because fstab is configured to handle it. I mounted them manually and now it’s solid through reboots. Incredibly strange but solved.
