The forum is under a spamming wave, posting restrictions have been raised on new users

This morning the forum has received a few hundreds new account creation and lots of new spam topics have been created.

We have performed the following actions:

  • Registration has been temporarily disabled
  • New accounts since 3 AM CEST have been deleted. If you are a legitimate user, sorry, it has been caught in the cleanup. You may try to register again later.
  • Restrictions on new accounts have been raised.

We hope these will be inconvenient only for the bots. If you are unable to post support questions, please ping us in the Matrix support room.

I am a new forum user, just registered today (2026-01-07). I want to create a new topic about a problem I have with installing Collabora. But whatever I try, the forumsoftware keeps refusing my post with ‘New users are not allowed to use links in messages’ (but then in dutch).

I had a link in it originally, but even after everything that could look like a link, I still get refused.

a) I’ve raised your rank to allow posting links
b) Only the last portion of yunopaste URL matters, you can always work around by posting just that :wink:
