Support of Raspberry Pi 5 B

My YunoHost server

Hardware: Raspberry Pi 5 B
YunoHost version: 11.2.8 & 12
I have access to my server : through a screen
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : yes
If yes, please explain: trying to use YunoHost on a non-officially supported device

Description of my issue

Hello everyone! I just bought a brand new Raspberry Pi 5 B, hoping to launch Yunohost on it. But now it’s not working at all :

bios message : the installed OS does not indicate support for Raspberry Pi 5
Update the OS or set os_check=0 in config.txt to skip this check

So I put the os_check=0 as asked and then the Raspberry pi boot to something (because I don’t see the bios anymore) but the screen is fully black. And so it’s not working).

when I try the beta that supports Bookworm, the OS isn’t even detected by the bios. (I install it via Balena Etcher on a 1tb microSD card) Do you know what can I do to solve this problem ? Thank you a lot <3

Welcome!

Raspberry Pi 5 is unfortunately not compatible with Debian 11, on which YunoHost 11 is based.

However I see you tried YunoHost 12 too, but there is currently no built image for it. Can you try installing Debian 12 with its image, then follow the curl | bash method?

Thank you really much!

I installed the Raspberry Pi OS based on Debian 12 bookworm, then install Yunohost with the curl method. Everything goes well, but I had one problem :

I installed Yunohost a first time, then config a local server, then a *.nohost.me. I had config problem with debian, so I reinstalled the OS. When I installed Yunohost back, it was impossible to connect to the *.nohost.me server in the postinstall steps.
I had to create a local one, the connect to the *.nohost.me.

Is it an intended behavior?

In every case, thank you a lot!
