SOGo can't send Mails

What type of hardware are you using: VPS bought online
What YunoHost version are you running: 12.0.11
What app is this about: SOGo 5.8.0~ynh7

Describe your issue

Hi.
I never used SOGo to send mails, just the calendar features.
So I was surprised when I recognized that sending mails does not happend, just the classic red screen “Not allowed in state 1”.
Sending and receiving mails with thunderbird were no problem.
The WWW tells you to enable stunnel4, but this service ist not installed on my yunohost version and I don’t want to mess around without knowing what I do.
For people with similar problem like me, here’s my short workaround:
Enable in the admin panel - tools - yunohost settings - Email: Authorized IPv6 - yes (in german: Autorisiere das IPv6: Ja)
Even you does not configure the IPv6 in the DNS settings at all. In my case there is no IPv6 available.
After that sending Mails with SOGo is no more a problem.

For the maintainer of the app is the workaround hopefully a tip for a solution in the future.

Hello,

Thanks for reporting this issue. Would be curious to see the sogo log (with the errror) when you try to send email when ipv6 is disabled.

Hi Josue.

Everything for maintainers!
IPv6 disabled and tried to send mail → “not allowed in state 1”.
I hope this is the right log:

Thanks, well the question was to see the sogo log in /var/log/sogo/sogo.log.

The install log don’t much help to understand the issue at the app runtime.

Nice Debian exercise!
Here’s the file from January 31st as pdf:
sogo_log.pdf (1.3 MB)

Next time you get the credentials…

Did you enable the smtp relais also?
I just started using sogo - receiving mail over imap no problem - but i dont know how to add a smtp for sending mails - and couldnt find out myself how to do so.

Currently i get the error message:
5.7.1 username@gmx.net: Sender address rejected: not owned by user username

stunnel run ?
