If I remember correctly, it was due to my ISP (Internet Service Provider). To be able to host your own server from your home, ISPs often restrict access. They say it’s for your own protection, for security reasons, they have access turned off by default. Okay, well, ‘turn access on please’, and that’s when they tell you that in order to turn that feature on, you have to upgrade from their Residential plan to their Business plan, which costs a LOT of money compared to the Residential plan. So, in this regard, it’s much cheaper to use a service such as digitalocean.com to host your SSB Room – at least it is for me.
