Redmine SVG icons not visible: a possible path problem?

Hello,

I’ve installed Redmine to my Yunohost instance. I am having the following issues:

  • SVG icons are not visible in the UI
  • Additional themes look broken
  • Plugins are not detected

I install the themes to /var/www/redmine/themes as usual for Redmine 6.x. When I select one of the installed themes the UI looks broken as in the image below. The following image is from Administration > Settings > Display page.

Plugins are not detected

I install the plugins to /var/www/redmine/plugins as usual for Redmine 6.x. But no plugins are detected.

I am not sure why the SVG icons are not shown. But may the themes and plugins issues be a path problem? Appreciate your help.

UPDATE

I’ve restarted the redmine service, now I’ve got 502 Bad Gateway issue. I’ve added relevant logs.

Solved the 502 Error

This error is because the redmine service fails to start and the error is in this paste: hastebin. I found out that this error caused by a plugin called redmine_dashboard. So when I delete that plugin the redmine service starts and serve gracefully.

Plugins Detection Solved

It looks like the problem was the redmine_dashboard plugin. The plugins are now visible after I removed it.

I found out that the /var/www/redmine/public directory was set to wrong owner as root:root. Changing the owner to redmine:www-data solved the icon issues.

Additional themes problem still persists.
