Hey gys, my yunohost server runs with a 1 TB Scandisk SSD. Does anyone know if that can cause problems? I have read that the Seagate® IronWolf SSD is installed in NAS systems.
I’m considering swapping, someone has experience with it.
If you speak about disk failure. SSD lifetime is around 3 years, so if your data are important you should do regular backup (with borg or archivist). It also depends of how many write you do on the disk…
You don’t give a lot of context, we don’t know if you search performance, reliability…
I had the same questions, my solution right now is to do regular backups to an external HDD. This way you do not pay the premiere price of the SSD but still have great performance.
