following a small discussion where we were wondering how many user actually use YunoHost for email, we thought it would be nice to have poll to know what you use YunoHost for !
In fact, this sounds like an important piece of info to have to better understand what people expect from YunoHost and actually do with their server - so that would help us, as developer/contributors, if you participate to this poll !
We tried to identify different categories of usage. You can select several of them according to your personnal usage.
Email
Instant messaging (using XMPP)
Instant messaging (via something else than XMPP)
File storage and file sharing (Nextcloud, Jirafeau, âŠ)
Multimedia apps (pictures, music, video, âŠ)
Personal tools (password manager, contact/calendar sync, RSS reader, âŠ)
Development / technical tools (git forges, phpMyAdmin, âŠ)
Tools for collective organization (opensondage, etherpad, forum, wekan, âŠ)
You can also not use emails in YunoHost, without disabling any services.
If emails are really a problem for you, you can close ports 25, 587 and 993.
Most email from the server are indeed sent to ârootâ, if you donât want to use the internal mail address. You canât forward all mails to an external address by using the field âMail forwardâ into your profile.
Anyone is welcome to work on this ⊠Otherwise we have way too much work for at least the next 6+ months to work on this I believe. In the meantime, as Maniack points out, you can simply ânot useâ the feature
Most small to medium Mattermost team deployments can be supported on a single server with the following specifications based on registered users:
* 1 - 1,000 users - 1 vCPU/cores, 2 GB RAM
* 1,000 - 2,000 users - 2 vCPUs/cores, 4 GB RAM
