Pleroma: what now?

Pleroma’s package in Yuno seems abandonned. The provided version 2.8 is over 1 year old.

I was tempted by GoToSocial, but there is no functional migration mechanism. Just look at this:

There was a ticket for GoToSocial to migrate from Pleroma, but it was years old and I don’t think they have the resources to work on it.

Fellow Pleroma users: are you still on Pleroma, and if not, what did you do? I am looking for options/suggestions.

Hello @matlag , I am still now a user of pleroma (installed with the yunohost package) and I am like you a little bit annoyed by the situation you described precisely : an old package and no migration possible to gotosocial.

pleroma app is still alive, a 2.10.0 is in testing.

for history, pleroma upstream did change from gitlab to forgejo, and some otp package where lost in the battle, see some epic of fight here Install fail: sources 404 · Issue #290 · YunoHost-Apps/pleroma_ynh · GitHub

I will try to maintain pleroma_ynh app, i don’t oversell it though, i am a slow mover.

and yes i have a pleroma yunohost instance working, so i’m involved.
