Linkstack is largely unmaintained, and has been broken for over a year. Prior to 2 weeks ago it hadn’t been updated for over a year. Even after they finally got around to updating it, it’s still broken.
Conversely LittleLink sees regular updates, supports basically infinite types of links/platforms/buttons and supports Fathom analytics (also provided by YNH).
I’ve tried to add apps to the wishlist before. I spend a lot of time collecting all of the info only to receive an error, finding all the info again, and being being told I’m unable to submit for a period. Not doing that again, sorry.
That’s not really the point of this post though. Just trying to get attention on the fact that an app in the catalog is and has been broken and more or less abandoned for a very long time, with no end in sight.
Adding apps to the wishlist is rate limited, because you know, we are humans not bots, so we can’t handle a lot of reviews besides searching for fixes for broken apps, adding new apps to the catalog, testing them, etc…
Yes, I already said it was updated 2 weeks ago. I also said it was previously updated over a year ago and that it’s broken and that the update from 2 weeks ago did not fix it.
The problem is not that it’s rate-limited, the problem is that it rejected my submission for unknown reasons but then rate-limited me nonetheless so that I couldn’t submit anything.
Not to mention the same apps have been at the top of the wishlist for years and the ones I see being regularly added are nowhere to be found on that list, so it doesn’t appear to be considered at all.
