Describe your issue
Hi fellow yunohosters,
I have 3 domains which I’d like to manage from my server with Yunohost.
eeeeh yes but i’m not sure to understand what behavior you would like to obtain ? Where would you want the mail for ipslore@secondomain arrive, if not on the maindomain mailbox ?
I mean yeah you can’t really have “two different mailboxes” but using the very same credentials …
Update : maybe what you’re looking for is to a) indeed create another user, e.g. ipslore2 and b) change the “main email address” of this user to ipslore@seconddomain (without the 2). This operation is only available after the user is created, in the webadmin, under Users > the_user > Edit.
Note that the credentials to login from an external (or web too) client will still be the username, so ipslore2 (without the @secondarydomain etc)
Let’s say you have ipslore@maindomain.org as your main email address. You can add ipslore@seconddomain.net as an alias. Then on your email client, create two identities, one for the first email and another for the second one. When writing an email, select the identity (the email) to use for sending.
A user can have as much emails as you want using aliases and identities.
Yes, indeed !
I came from an old postifx / dovecot install managed with postfixadmin, and users were identified by their nicknames and their domain, so ipslore@maindomain was not the same user as ipsolre@seconddomain. I was just wondering if it was possible with Yunohost, but apparently not ; that’s not an huge deal anyway !
Thank you for showing the right way. I will do like that and it will be fine.
Thank both of you, have a nice day.
