Nohost.me domain not resolving - private CGNAT IPv4 public IPv6

What type of hardware are you using: Virtual machine
What YunoHost version are you running: 12.1.13.1
How are you able to access your server: The webadmin
Are you in a special context or did you perform specific tweaking on your YunoHost instance ?: I deleted IPv4 resolvers, added IPv6 firewall rules, removed inet dhcp from interfaces

Describe your issue

My ISP uses a CGNAT as far as I understand (10.x.x.x address) and is asking for payment for a static IP. I figured I could at least give IPv6 a shot before caving in.

Setup: Virtual box bridge mode adapter - Host is running Linux (Solus OS)

From the beginning I’ve only been able to use yunohost.local or the local IPv4 to access the webadmin. Using the nohost.me domain always times out. I thought it was just the issue with port forwarding that was causing this (diagnosis showed Web and ports were unreachable). Now that I switched to IPv6, diagnosis says both web and ports are reachable, and I can reach the IPv6 address even from other devices outside the local network. But the nohost.me domain still times out both locally and outside the network. My guess is that the IPv4 DNS A record (which would still have a public IP that is NATed) is still being defaulted to instead of the AAAA record that is accurate, but there’s no way for me to change the records because I don’t have access to the domain settings.

Certificate installation also fails for this domain even if I skip checks.

I currently don’t have a proper domain to check with and the other DynDNS domain I tested from NoIP also had a similar problem which I also couldn’t edit because the A record is treated as the “parent” and I can’t just have an AAAA record.

Is there no way to make this work? I do intend to get a domain soon and I have a spare device to use as a server but I don’t want to pour money into this before I test everything and make sure it works.
