Nextcloud v34.0.1~ynh1 showing "error in script"

What app is this about, and its version: Nextcloud v34.0.1~ynh
What YunoHost version are you running: 12.1.40.1
What type of hardware are you using: Old laptop or computer

Describe your issue

Hello…
I have just tried to update to Nextcloud v34.0.1~ynh1. The first attempt failed because of an untested app (Memories). I went back and disabled the app and tried a second attempt; however, this time it just flagged an error in the script.

I have attached the log from the second attempt.

Any help is very appreciated.

Seems similar at this issue [Bug]: File sequence directory exists but is not writable in /lib/private/Snowflake/FileSequence.php:37 on Update to NC33 · Issue #58416 · nextcloud/server · GitHub

Does the data directory be mounted in an external volume ??

It is noted “Unable to upgrade nextcloud 3”.
Why “netxcloud_3” and not “nextcloud” without the _3?

@JfmbLinux uep should have cleared that. There are 3 Nextcloud instances on the server at present.

Dj

@rodinux everything is on one drive. The only external is a backup drive

Dj

Can you ls -la /home/yunohost.app/nextcloud__3 and check all folder ownership ?

Okay !!!

I also have a problem, but it’s just about “limit login to ip” app that isn’t compatible with Nextcloud 34, it hasn’t been updated for 5 months.
Either I disable the app or I wait for it to be up-to-date.

Tried again after another php update. It worked no problem.

Me upgrading to 34.0.1 still failing.

Deactivated all apps, which weren’t compatible but still I didn’t manage to upgrade successfully.

The logs Yunohost offered me to share can be found here

Logs of the failed upgrade

Would highly appreciate any help (to solve my other issue with memories on the long run; other topic)

Hi @md27

I dont know what help I can be, but I was the first to flag this. When I tried to upgrade Nextcloud the first error was a “bad” app, which for me was Memories. I disabled the app, but then the update moaned about an “error in the script”.

There has been a lot of updating of PHP lately, so the only thing I can say is make sure you do all of the system updates first, disable Memories and try the update again. What I found was that the update happened, and there was an update for the Memories app.

You have probably tried all of this, so sorry if I’m repeating stuff. I now have a fully working updated Nextcloud AND Memories…

Help or harm?

Dj

No harm actually and it always helps, when you are not alone with your problem

I disabled all “known” apps (forgot one in the first attempt), disabled all known in the second, no success.

All available system upgrades have been installed, yesterday and the day before if I remember correctly.
