Nextcloud errors after updates (?)

Hi all,

If am not mistaken, after a recent (yesterday’s) packages updates of php’s I noticed few errors on my nextcloud setup, namely below:

Doctrine\DBAL\Exception\DriverException: An exception occurred while executing a query: SQLSTATE[HY001]: Memory allocation error: 1038 Out of sort memory, consider increasing server sort buffer size

EDIT: And this is the message from Flocus: E020: Could not parse server response. Is the bookmarks app installed on your server? JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

As well as I cannot now synchronize my bookmarks with Floccus in Firefox.

Anyone has any idea of what might be happening?

I had the same issue and solved it with this hint:

Incresed the sort-buffer-size to 265k in /etc/mysql/my.cnf

Sync now works in ff with floccus

Interesting! Did you notice any other peculiar behavior to Nextcloud or any other app after the tweak?
