Nextcloud considers myself as bruteforcing..? LDAP problem?

:uk::/:us: Message template (english)

Description of my issue

I receive strange issues while using nextcloud. Sometimes I can access the web interface, sometimes not. First I thought it depends somehow on the device, but then I noticed this warnings in admin interface (mydomain.xy/settings/admin/overview)

- Your remote address was identified as "ipv6-address" and is bruteforce throttled at the moment slowing down the performance of various requests. If the remote address is not your address this can be an indication that a proxy is not configured correctly. Further information can be found in the documentation β†—.
- Your web server is not properly set up to resolve "/.well-known/caldav". Further information can be found in the documentation β†—.
- Your web server is not properly set up to resolve "/.well-known/carddav". Further information can be found in the documentation β†—.

in the logs I get a lot of these:

Warning	core	Login failed: 'username' (Remote IP: 'ipV6-addrr') 2023-11-19T23:49:08+0100
Warning	user_ldap	Configuration Error (prefix ): either no password is given for the user agent or a password is given, but not an LDAP agent. 2023-11-19T23:49:08+0100
Warning	user_ldap	Configuration Error (prefix ): either no password is given for the user agent or a password is given, but not an LDAP agent. 2023-11-19T23:49:08+0100

does anyone have an idea what could be malconfigured?

how could I tell the server permanently, that I’m not trying to bruteforce myself?

is there a safe way to disable ldap, because actually I wouldn’t need it really? I would be fine configuring my users in nextcloud. But by deactivating LDAP I fear loosing all access, also me admin-access.

I’m a bit lost and hope somebody has some hints for me. thanks!

c

I had weird issues with my nextcloud too.
I found this in fail2ban Simulate NOW in operation since found time has too large deviation
and Please check jail has possibly a timezone issue
I used sudo dpkg-reconfigure tzdata
I also fixed missing permissions issues.
Hope this gives you some new hints
