Nextcloud Collabora integration

What type of hardware are you using: Old laptop or computer
What YunoHost version are you running: 12.0.11
What app is this about: Nextcloud

Describe your issue

hello dear humans,

I installed nextcloud and collabora taking care to use actual subdomains (like https://nextcloud.myserver.com and https://collabora.myserver.com (examples)
I then, within nextcloud added Collabora using add (+) app Nextcloud office
I got the message Collabora Online server is reachable (so far so good)
In Allow list for WOPI requests I added : <Server_IPv4>,::1 (but with or without doesn’t seem to make a difference regarding the problem)

So, the installation has gone well but I cannot find a button on the nextcloud app to launch collabora.
What did I forget?

Thank you for the help,
Christian

I’m a first time user , having installed yunohost just yesterday
so, it’s all a bit fresh.

I haven’t found a solution yet, still researching the web for answers.
What I did discover was that while initially nextcloud office integrations was succesfull in adding and detecting my collabora installation in the subdomain, I found that today it messages me that it is unable to connect to the Collabora server.
When typing in the URL of Collabora I get: “This is where Collabora Online is installed. To actually be useful, this needs to be integrated in a front-end such as Nextcloud for example.”
So, that seems to be allright.

Any advice?
Everything, including subdomains have let’s encrypt certificates
Everything is green in diagnostices, with the exception of ipv6 which I don’t use.

Perhaps, I need to install phpmyadmin and check the database ?

For now, I keep looking

Have a great weekend, all of you,

Christian

With the intent of updating and hopefully not overwhelming

I uninstalled both nextcloud and collarbora to try again.
Installing nextcloud first on its own subdomain yields this error:
Error. “504”
Action: “post” /yunohost/api/apps

I’m not giving up and looking into this, but if anyone knows what this is about, … ???

Thanks,
Christian

Partial succes:

Collabora Online server is reachable.

Collabora Online Development Edition 24.04.12.3 321ff0a561

URL used by the browser: https://office.mydomain.com
Nextcloud URL used by Collabora: https://nextcloud.mydomain.com/nextcloud (Determined from the browser URL)

But I see no TILE in nextcloud.

Pff, this takes more time and energy then I thought.
Also, I don’t really find that much information on this problem or on how to correctly install and tips and troubleshooting.

Christian

Okay.
It’s working.

The thing is, from version 11 onwards there is no tile anymore.
You click + in filemanager to add a document and that opens collabora.

Didn’t see that coming

No, on to the next issue.
I have a synology nas that I setup with reverse proxy to my yunohost server including reverse proxy to each subdomain. The certificates are installed on the synology box.
That seems to be an issue as I get this error when trying to load a doc in collabora:

Failed to establish socket connection or socket connection closed unexpectedly. The reverse proxy might be misconfigured, please contact the administrator. For more info on proxy configuration please checkout Proxy settings — SDK https://sdk.collaboraonline.com/ documentation

Opening port 443 directly to the server and there is no problem
going through the synology box and I get that error.

Advice?

Christian

In my synology box I added a websocket to the reverse proxy as instructed by my Intelligent Assistant

But that doesn’t seem to help.

So, the last hurdle is to solve this reverse proxy thing.

Any advice?
Christian

I finally gave up and uninstalled Collabora
This 9980 port thingy is a nasty thing to get working behind a proxy.

Today I installed onlyoffice which took 3 minutes and simply works out of the box. Kudo’s to the developers.
