Nextcloud : Check app compatibility before update

Hi everyone,
Just to mention : it seems a lot of people have got difficulties after upgrading Nextcloud because of NC apps which are not yet compatible with the new version. I created this issue on the NC tracker to suggest a solution. Feel free to support the issue or contribute to push an implementation.

Juste pour info : il semblerait que beaucoup de monde sur ce forum a déjà eu des difficultés suite à des mises à jours de Nextcloud, dans le cas où les applis internes de NC n’étaient pas encore compatibles avec la nouvelle version. J’ai créé un ticket sur le tracker de Nextcloud pour proposer une solution. N’hésitez pas à montrer votre intérêt pour le ticket ou à créer une implémentation de la solution.

Please describe.** As an admin, I ran sometimes in compatibility problems when doing an update of Nextcloud, as some apps are not yet up to date with the last NC version. But I discover this only after the update, and I have to deactivate the app, or downgrade NC. **Describe the solution you'd like** In the app store, I would like a button that check automatically if every installed app is ready to work on a given NC version, which could be chosen from a picker and includes next and past versions, and returns a list of the uncompatible apps. **Describe alternatives you've considered** Checking each app individually on their app store datasheet... I've got way too many apps to check for this !

Thanks for taking the trouble!

Since it so straightforward to have this, it seems (luckily) to have been implemented a few versions ago!

Ok, I found it in the admin overview panel, ONLY if the update notification app is activated. As I did deactivate it because the process was handled by YNH, I couldn’t see it.

So maybe it is a good practice to spread among the YNH users.

Nextcloud est une app que je préfère entretenir et updater avec occ, ce qui est super pratique avec la commande

yunohost app shell nextcloud

Les passages de versions majeurs sont souvent chaotiques avec l’interface de Yunohost, justement à cause des nombreuses applications et extensions qui ne suivent pas toujours. Un vieux Nextcloud comme le mien demande des soins particuliers (5 ans sur Yunohost ici, dont deux migrations majeures !)
