Hardware: Old computer at home YunoHost version: 5.2.2,2 (stable) I have access to my server : Through SSH- yes| through the webadmin - yes | direct access via keyboard / screen - yes Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : no
Description of my issue
When I add a new user they get access to the apps I gave them. Users cant send or receive emails or access XMPP. Yet my email works fine. I have access from anywhere I want. Could this be because I am testing it on my computers and phone where I already have the ssl cert for my user?
SMTP Error (553): Failed to add recipient "unklebonehead@ubmedia.nohost.me" (5.7.1 <oldskoolnomad@ubmedia.nohost.me>: Sender address rejected: not owned by user oldskoolnomad).
That sounds related to the fact that (maybe?) you didnt chose username@domain.tld as email address for username ?
c.f. the form that you fill when creating a user : it asks you a username, and the email address to be created to this user. Typically, one would choose username@domain.tld as the email address … but somehow YunoHost allows to change this address to something else. In which case, the address username@domain.tld won’t be owner by user username …
Not sure if that’s clear, but maybe Yunohost should just always allocate username@domain.tld for username …
No. I specified it because I tried to use upper case letters and got the error that those cant be used.
I think I may have bigger issues.
When I do a port check with https://ports.yunohost.org/
All the ports show as red. But I am connecting with no problem. Been sending and recieving emails on my phone and thunderbird all week outside the network.
So maybe somehow I am the only user that has access to the email/XMPP?
Ok I deleted the user and re added him and now the email is working. But how do you specify the chatroom using a .nohost.me address? Is there a default?
