Thanks
I just wanted to query this point, as, from my reading of the Netdata Discourse forums, it seems that their multi-host monitoring functionality “is free, closed source, software-as-a-service” which requires that your data gets sent back to their server. This, as far as I understand, is a feature which has been disabled in the YunoHost implementation of Netdata. Apparently such disabling of the uploading of data to their server is responsible for the cloud monitoring to have stopped working from v1.26 of Netdata, as per this thread on their forums. I was just wondering if some clever person in our community here has figured out how to re-enable multi-host monitoring with the YNH implementation of NetData, without it trying to “phone home” all the time? I’m keen to use Netdata under YNH for monitoring multiple Raspberry Pi machines.
Have you tried updating via command line ? I had the same error and it caused the yunohost admin panel to crash but command line worked just now…
sudo yunohost app upgrade netdata
It works, thanks ![]()
is it possible to configure new things to monitor ?
i got an external temperute sensor… i usualy draw it next to internal temperature sensor, so show if a higher temperature is due to exernal higher temp, or cpu higher activity (i could also draw internal-external temperature to show the delta … got a new idea XD
missing libelf-dev dependancy
Hey,
I red that Netdata interface is not open-source anymore since V2.
See here :
and here :
The main problem I understand is that Netdata core and Netdata interface are not easy to differentiate, in their communication as in their software release.
I see that netdata_ynh packages the V2 interface.
Is it a concern for YNH community ? is YNH supposed to “offer” only FOSS ?
