I’m an “elder geek” from Auckland, New Zealand, who is self-learning about self-hosting to set up a homelab for 2022, to escape the clutches of Big Data companies like Google. I have purchased two Raspberry Pi 4B single board computers for a personal project. I hope to learn how to deploy to them using Ansible, Docker, and Portainer, to selfhost Pi-Hole, PiVPN, Bitwarden, NextCloud, and Wordpress, at least. I think I may have “bitten off more than I can chew” though, as I’m not by any means a developer! Despite my advanced age, I consider myself to be a “script kiddie”, and have enough nous to be able to modify a script to make it do what I want, but that is about my limit. Yunohost sounds like a great solution for me!
