Misc.network.dns_exposure preventing the WebUI from working

My YunoHost server

Hardware: Old laptop running Proxmox, with Yunohost running on a VM.
YunoHost version: 11.2.9.1 (got this out of a yunohost log file)
I have access to my server : Through SSH | direct access via Promox’s console
Are you in a special context or did you perform some particular tweaking on your YunoHost instance ? : No

Description of my issue

In the web UI, I switched the equivalent of misc.network.dns_exposure to ipv4 from both. I wanted to have [subdomain].nohost.me to not use Ipv6, due the ISP router only allowing me to turn on port 80/443 forwarding to either all my devices with IPv6 or none at all.

After rebooting the vm, i became unable to access to the server from the web UI using the [subdomain].nohost.me domain. This is how I usually access the server.

I switched back to both using the ssh, and rebooted and I am still unable to access my web UI.

I tried the following:

  • https://192.168.1.xxx/, got ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in the browser
  • https://[subdomain].nohost.me (this is resolving through Ipv6), got ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED in the browser

Does anyone know how I could regain access to the WebUI or what else I should check?

I uninstalled everything including webmin and jellyfin using the commandline. I then added another domain and somehow, I got access back to the main UI on my normal nohost.me domain. It’s not clear to me what broke or which of the stop fixed it.
