Hi,

My messages where not routed to / from whatsapp since this morning.
I tried to reconnect but it did not work.
I deleted my session and tried to login, but the bot tells me :
“Failed to log in: outdated client. The bridge must be updated to continue”

Am I the only user having this issue ?

Confirmed issue.. Latest Yunohost in Debian 12 bare metal server

Issues are also in Beeper app (that uses similar bridge) where new chat command is not working

I’ve manually updated the bridge replacing in /var/www/mautrix_whatsapp the binary using the latest version found here Releases · mautrix/whatsapp · GitHub

** warning **
the bridge had to update database schema so I don’t know if I messed up things :slight_smile: luckily I’ve got last night backup ready to restore..
At first glance bridge is working again, but all the previous chats were set to unread .. I’ve tried a couple of message to WA users and they don’t find anything strange
We have a “shared” whatsapp account connected with the bridge but with latest version when user B log in user A is logged out :frowning:

It indeed works, but your conversation chats are getting somehow altered since the bot is doing something that generates a notification for each and every one of them.

I guess there must be a way not to get this side effect.

The maintainer of mautrix_whatsapp released a fix for migration from v0.10.X to 0.12.1, but maybe the fix is not perfect ? We should try to upgrade first to 0.11.X and then to 0.12.1
As far as I understand the DB migration bugged occured because we are upgrading from an v.0.10.X which is considered old.

If someone wants to take over / help with maintenance of the package, you’re welcome :smiley:

I’d be glad to help but I never really digged into yunohost app packaging.
Do you know if there is any sort of training for that ? Maybe the people from Yunohost could explain me ?

Just ask on the yunohost support Chanel on matrix. You juste have to change the URL and checksum of the source in manifest.yaml
Wie should have the master branch in v0.11 and the testing on last released commit of Main branch so that people can upgrade successively.
