Lsof: WARNING: can't stat() tracefs file system

I get this error when I restore backups and I think when I do other Yunohost operations:

lsof: WARNING: can't stat() tracefs file system /sys/kernel/debug/tracing
Output information may be incomplete.

Everything works fine, but I was wondering if this is something important to fix.

I am using a VPS.

You provided no information about the exact context of the error message … (“during restore backup” is very broad)

We need the full log, as always, and as always it’s always better to fill the support template …

I am using a VPS with root access. These errors happen when I restore any kind of backup.

Hmmokay so that’s related to lsof and tracking if the dpkg lock is taken or not … sounds very minor though i understand that the message is annoying

Sounds also related to the fact that you have a tracefs filesystem for some reason, we could try to dig in using lsblk -f | grep tracefs

This provides no output…

But if the above error messages are not important for the functioning of Yunohost, then all good with me - I can also try to debug if you think it may be important.
