What type of hardware are you using: Raspberry Pi 3, 4+ What YunoHost version are you running: 12.0.13 What app is this about: Jellyfin
Describe your issue
Hello,
App version : 10.10.5~ynh2
Domain : jellyfin.local
User : jelly
I installed the app on a local domain.
I installed Android Jellyfin app (phone and TV) to try it. The app find my server but when selected it shows “Impossible de se connecter au server”.
If I open the page (private nativation) on the PC and try to reach jellyfin.local/jellyfin, I land to yunohost login page.
If I log in on this interface, I can access to Jellyfin webpage without any issue.
Any idea how to solve it ?
I would like to access via Android app on my TV.
I removed and install it again on the main (public domain), everything works great.
Removed I again and install it on the local domain keeping the same settings as on the public domain, it doesn’t works the same way
On local domain I always land on the yunohost interface where I need to log first.
So this method will not suit for the android app.
I want it local because I do not need it outside.
Also my internet connection is so bad bad. I have to run it locally.
Update 2 :
I am talking sh**.
I installed it on the public domain, again
Started the jellyfin android app on the TV which automatically find the local server
Everything works fine
Enjoy life
Actually I thought that if it install it on the public domain and connect the android app to this public domain, the app will download the data from the server through internet and not through my local network. Not a vert smart …
= this is “hairpin NAT” I think. It could be avoided by using a local DNS.
(A dummy hack would be to proxy_pass Jellyfin connections to the YNH IP:8096 and declare this IP or local.domain:8096 in android apps but is it really worth it ?)
