Describe your issue

Hi,

I am not able to figure out how to set a password for my domain, so that I can restore in a new Yunohost install. In this topic a moderator says this is possible Nohost domain recovery - Suppression de domaine en nohost.me, noho.st et ynh.fr - #2746 by tituspijean

However I am not able to find any info or documentation about it. I’ve looked at for exampe

The latter one still says “If you reinstall your server and want to use a domain already used previously, you must request a domain reset on the forum in the dedicated thread.

Through ssh, using the CLI (command line interface): yunohost domain dyndns set-recovery-password your.nohost.domain.

Thank you! I was able to get it working on a new install.

The only problem was that the web post-install did not work, if I tried to recover the domain - everything was accepted, I gave the usernames etc. Then it gives me a login screen, but the login button stayed “grayed out”. No matter how long I waited, I could not even try to log in.

Then I tried post install from CLI - apparently it’s not possible to recover a domain from there, just told me the domain is not available.

Then I made a local domain from CLI, which worked. And after the post install, from the web UI I was able to restore my domain and delete the local one.
