Describe your issue

Hello everyone,

I have just seen that a normal user can add further e-mail aliases to their profile in the administration interface. I don’t want to allow that. Only admins should be allowed to do this.
I have just searched the forum and the Internet and found a few old posts on the subject. But I haven’t seen a real solution yet. The best I could find was that the LDAP settings would have to be adjusted. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this.
Is there already a different and user-friendly solution? Or current information?

Thank you

Not possible in th current state but there’s work ongoing in Add possibility to allow/disallow main email, email alias and email forward form portal by Josue-T · Pull Request #1997 · YunoHost/yunohost · GitHub

Ah - ok. Thanks for the latest information. Good to know that the topic is in focus.

@Aleks Another quick question: is it possible to roughly estimate when we will be able to limit the creation of aliases to administrators? Is it more likely to be in 2 or 3 months or 2 or 3 years? Do you have a gut feeling?
