Description of my issue

Hello, I wanted to install a Matrix server and add a Signal bridge.
By going to the applications, I was able to install Synapse Admin… before realizing that it may not be a server that is installed but only a web administration interface.

To be honest, I don’t understand anything because the tutorials are missing (except non beginner technical documentation mainly related to install, build, etc.). What are clearly the steps to install a Signal for matrix bridge on Yunohost? Here is my understanding, could you please confirm? Thanks! :

  1. Set up a subdomain matrix.mondomain.com
  2. In the Yunohost store, install Synapse (but it is marked broken)
  3. Add a user account
  4. In the Yunohost store, install Matrix Signal bridge communication (but it is marked broken)
  5. Install a Matrix client (Element, etc.) on your smartphone and fill in the user credentials
  6. Connect the bridge (how?)

Bonjour, j’ai souhaité installer un serveur Matrix et y ajouter un bridge Signal.
En allant dans les applications, j’ai pu installer Synapse Admin… avant de me rendre compte que ce n’est peut-être pas un serveur qui est installé mais seulement une interface web d’administration.

Pour être franc, je ne comprends rien car les tutos manquent (à part de la doc très technique liée principalement à l’installation, compilation, etc.). Quelles sont clairement les étapes pour installer un bridge Signal pour matrix sur Yunohost ? Voici ma compréhension, pourriez-vous me confirmer svp ? Merci ! :

  1. Mettre en place un sous-domaine matrix.mondomain.com
  2. Dans le store Yunohost, installer Synapse (mais il est marqué broken)
  3. Ajouter un compte utilisateur
  4. Dans le store Yunohost, installer Matrix Signal bridge communication (mais il est marqué broken)
  5. Installer sur son smartphone un client Matrix (Element, etc.) et renseigner les identifiants utilisateur
  6. Connecter le bridge (comment ?)

Thanks for your message. But what is this documentation made for ? After reading it a few, my understanding is that it is not for Yunohost but for dedicated debian server, but it is still unclear, am I right ?

As I said in my first post, I am a beginner :

Now, it seems even more complex:
Should I install the bridge from Yunohost, or via your documentation shared, or both (but then where to start)?
Do I have to install synapse from Yunohost first?
Why is it marked broken when the git doesn’t mention any problem?
