Hosting server internal only will postfix work for mail?

I have a YUNOHOST that I only want to run internally so that sites are accessed on something like myserver.local. But how do I solve the mail problem? Should I install postfix and then configure it to use myserver.local along with something like Roundcube, or is there a more official or supported way to do this?

Many apps want to send mail, but I want to keep everything local. Do I have the ability to login to a local mail? I feel like I did see that.

If the mail is sent from local to local, it should work. If you have to send to external servers, they will probably block it.
