General form to force default configuration of 'X' app

Discuss

I have a problem with an installed app that I think might be helped by forcing the default configuration. In my history I found this when I grepped for ‘force’:
“yunohost tools regen-conf postfix --force”
So does that work for anything? e.g.
yunohost tools regen-conf X --force
yunohost tools regen-conf Y --force
Specifically, I’d like to force peertube.

yunohost tools regen-conf is for the core components of the server, not the apps.

In the case of Peertube, you can do yunohost app upgrade peertube -F to force-upgrade the app. The upgrade script includes that one line that overrides the file.

Ah, ok. Good I asked first eh?
I’ll make a note for that and then try your line and see if it changes anything.
Thanks very much.

For future readers, this will most likely change with packaging v3. :slightly_smiling_face:

I ran it, but the number of threads and virt mem is now double what it was per thread, like it is on the new install on a different vps! Yay! I hope this solves my OOM problem that I’ve been having, ever since the reinstall from when an update killed my peertube and all the vids. I didn’t actually lose anything, b/c I have local copies, just a bother to upload them again.
On the upside, did a bunch of them really need to be there? No. I’ll just put back the Good ones
Thanks very much again!
