I installed Gancio, thanks for building it 
But from the yunohost portal or from the url I can’t seem to login. It wants an email address, but it doesn´t know my email address and there is no way to login to accept registrations. Any clue?

I guess you need to create an account and enter the credentials of the administrator account selected during installation !?
The admin account will be created automatically using the credentials you gave during install, but after the quoted Pull Request is merged.
Gancio didn’t support a working login method for Yunohost before that version.
