I have some apps installed that I don’t use as often, would it be possible to disable some apps so as to save on system resources?

In the meantime you can safely stop the corresponding service for this app if one exists under the “Services” section in the webadmin
Though other apps (eg PHP-based apps) share a common php-fpm and you can’t just temporary disable an app this way, you’d have to tweak the config files
