Describe your issue

Greetings –

After the migration to Yunohost 12, most everything seems to be working fine, but every 15 minutes I am getting an email from the cron daemon with the subject line “Cron root@chiajlingvoj /usr/lib/armbian/armbian-truncate-logs” and the following content:

truncate: cannot open ‘/var/log/postgresql/postgresql-13-main.log’ for writing: Permission denied
truncate: cannot open ‘/var/log/postgresql/postgresql-15-main.log’ for writing: Permission denied

How can I fix the relevant permissions?

Merci!

truncate: cannot open ‘/var/log/postgresql/postgresql-13-main.log’ for writing: Permission denied

I fix this after every reboot by setting permissions to 777 on the /var/log/postgresql directory.

This does seem to have fixed it, thanks! Do you really have to do it after every reboot, or just after every upgrade?

Every reboot. Maybe also if you restart postgresql. I don’t know why.
