Description of my issue
I’m currently testing 12.0.2+202408201630 (unstable) on a VPS. Everything has been good for the past 4 weeks, but last night I did a system update which focused on a Dovecot update.
Once the update was complete, the diagnosis reported that the Dovecot services was “dead”. The Dovecot service was running in the services tab of the webUI, but sure enough, IMAP is no longer working.
In services, it does say that Dovecot is up and running but IMAP mail is now not possible. It complains that the port is not open. This version is on a VPS with all the email ports open. Fully functioned up until this update.
I did a server reboot and tried to send and receive emails. This time I used Roundcube and email goes in and out as it’s supposed to. I think it is a Snappymail configuration thing, so sorry about that.
I wish that I had screen-grabbed the message when I did the 12.0.2+202408201630 (unstable) update, when the Diagnosis told me that the Dovecot service was dead and that the port was not open…
Sorry if my post was unnecessary, but something was not right in the Diagnosis after the update.
