Difficultés avec sous-domaines sur YUNH et domaine principal sur un autre serveur

:united_kingdom: Hello, and sorry to bother you again, but I’m having trouble :cry:

I installed YUNH on a subdomain, and since then I’ve added several more, and everything was working fine. My main domain is hosted with my domain name provider.

To limit the number of logins for my users, I wanted to add the main domain to YUNH, but without any applications, just to have usernames with the main domain, like their emails (which are also hosted with the domain name provider).

When I added the main domain to YUNH, even though it’s hosted elsewhere, I started having these problems:

• My subdomains are no longer ready to install a Let’s Encrypt certificate.
• Emails from Mailman to recipients on the main domain are no longer going through: Error message: b’5.1.1 xxx@maindomain: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table’.
• UptimeKuma’s probe to the main domain is no longer working (offline), even though the website is still functioning.
• I can no longer access applications that are not authorized for visitors; I get a “page not found” message on the main domain’s WordPress site.

I then tried deleting YUNH’s main domain, but emails from Mailman to addresses on the main domain are no longer going through at all. UptimeKuma’s probe to the main domain’s WordPress site is also no longer working.

I see in the logs that the following are still present:

• The configuration file ‘/var/www/.well-known/maindomain/autoconfig/mail/config-v1.1.xml’ has been manually modified and will not be updated.
• The configuration file ‘/etc/dnsmasq.d/maindomain’ has been manually modified and will not be updated.

Should I delete these files?

Is there anything I can do to make it work with the primary domain in YUNH, but without that domain’s DNS settings pointing to YUNH?

Or, if I delete the primary domain, can I make emails sent to the primary domain work again?

J’ai installé YUNH sur un sous-domaine et depuis j’en ai ajouté plusieurs et tout se passait bien. Mon domaine principal est hébergé chez mon fournisseur de noms de domaines.

Pour limiter les identifiants pour mes utilisateur-ices, j’ai voulu ajouter le domaine principal dans YUNH, mais sans application, juste pour avoir des noms d’utilisateur-ices avec le domaine principal comme pour leurs mails (eux aussi hébergés chez le fournisseur de noms de domaines).

Quand j’ai mis le domaine principal dans YUNH alors qu’il est hébergé ailleurs j’ai commencé a avoir ces difficultés :

  • Mes sous-domaines ne seraient plus prêts pour installer un certificat Let’s Encrypt.
  • Les mails de mailman vers des destinataires du domaine principal ne passent plus : Error message: b’5.1.1 xxx@maindomain: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table’.
  • La sonde de UptimeKuma vers le domaine principal ne fonctionne plus (hors ligne) alors que le site fonctionne toujours.
  • Je ne peux plus accéder aux applications qui ne sont pas autorisées aux visiteur-ices, je me retrouve avec un message de page inexistante sur le Wordpress du domaine principal.

J’ai alors essayé de supprimer le domaine principal de YUNH mais les mails de mailman vers des adresses du domaine principal ne passent plus du tout. La sonde UptimeKuma vers le Wordpress du domaine principal non plus.

Je vois dans les journaux qu’il y a toujours :

  • Le fichier de configuration ‘/var/www/.well-known/maindomain/autoconfig/mail/config-v1.1.xml’ a été modifié manuellement et ne sera pas mis à jour
  • Le fichier de configuration ‘/etc/dnsmasq.d/maindomain’ a été modifié manuellement et ne sera pas mis à jour

Est-ce qu’il faudrait que je supprime ces fichiers ?

Est-ce que je peux faire quelque chose pour que ça fonctionne avec le domaine principal dans YUNH mais sans que les DNS de ce domaine ne pointent vers YUNH ?

Ou alors quand je supprime le domaine principal est-ce que je peux faire en sorte que les mails envoyés vers le domaine principal fonctionne à nouveau ?

Bonjour @Diabolo,

Après avoir relu attentivement votre message, voici mon analyse :

Le problème :
Quand on ajoute un domaine dans YunoHost, celui-ci configure automatiquement :

  • Postfix (serveur mail) → qui considère ce domaine comme “local”
  • dnsmasq → qui résout ce domaine vers localhost
  • nginx → qui intercepte les requêtes pour ce domaine

Résultat : votre serveur YunoHost “capture” tout le trafic destiné au domaine principal, même s’il est hébergé ailleurs.

Ce que je tenterai (sans garantie :wink:) :

  1. Régénérer les configurations pour forcer YunoHost à remettre les fichiers à zéro :

    yunohost tools regen-conf --force postfix dnsmasq nginx

  2. Si le problème persiste, vérifier et supprimer manuellement /etc/dnsmasq.d/votredomaine.tld puis systemctl restart dnsmasq

Merci, je vais faire une sauvegarde au cas où^^ Ce que parfois j’oublie dans la précipitation malheureusement :downcast_face_with_sweat:

De ce que je vois dans UptimeKuma quand j’ai ajouté le domaine principal ça m’a mis : [🔴 Down] self-signed certificate in certificate chain

Et maintenant que je l’ai enlevé ça met : unable to verify the first certificate
