does yunohost have some kind of telemetry to know which are the apps most installed and used? could be nice to know, both for yunohost and me as a user to know which stuff has more people relying on it

No, to my knowledge, the only way to have an idea is by checking the stars of every app on YunoHost app store | Application Catalog (although there was recently a bug which removes the stars of some apps).
Better knowing which app is installed by how many users would be useful, indeed, but it rises some questions about privacy (this matter has already been considered by the contributors). You can have a look at this issue
I’d give up on that basic privacy that is pinging to yunohost when i install an app (and yunohost could just stripe the ip in the log, no one is gonna rig the numbers installing and uninstalling 100 times in the same month just to pump up) to receive the security consequences of it.
Yunohost target is someone who cannot selfhost on their own, so it would be useful to know which software is the mainstream one without searching around.
In the past i also suggested to have a ‘‘yunohost favorites’’ category in the app list but people answered me they won’t promise stability but only best effort… I understand why even if i don’t agree with not taking responsibility for such a good tool but anyway the analytics could basically have a simliar effect without putting the blame on yunohost
the stars are still bugged on my end btw
(the wishlist could be a forum section with votes, discourse can do it fine)
