Hello!

I installed yunohost for the first time, on a raspberry 5. Yesterday I tried a first time, created a domain and get error with dns. I Reflashed my sd card with yunohost and created a new domain and then get the same issue. I created a last version (with domain: popeti.nohost.me) and in the webadmin i get (arround every 10 miniutes) this error: ‘Could not update IP address to DynDNS’ (log after). The main issue seems to be ‘ERROR - The peer didn’t know the key we used’ but i didn’t find any solution despite reading a lot of similar issues in the forum.

I have a freebox pop, i configured the ports (22, 80, 443). I got a fixed ipv4 that i requested to free yesterday.

(I also post a message in this topic: Nohost domain recovery - Suppression de domaine en nohost.me, noho.st et ynh.fr - #2916 by popeti but I starts to think that it won’t help with my issue)

I created a domain.local and added jellyfin with a mount of an external disk. Everything works perfectly, i can access it from other devices connected to the wifi.

I wonder if a reset of the domain, clean of the key in my raspeberry and a resubscribe to the domain has a chance to remove the issue?

It didn’t work for me when I tried it. Resetting the domain allowed me to set a new recovery password, but I’m still getting this error.

damn, i was happy to think of a way to solve this :frowning:

I’m running out of solutions (I’m not an expert in networks so i’m struggle to understand what is going on)

In the same struggle I think I’ll just take a external domain name to manage by myself DNS settings.

tried to enroll a new domain after removing the previous one did fail silently it answers success: True but it didn’t work.

@popeti, your domain is not registered on our DynDNS, so there is no need to reset it.
However, our server should not have led yours to believe the registration was successful. That’s another matter.

Let’s fix your subscription. Can you try the following commands?

sudo ls /etc/yunohost/dyndns

There should be only one file starting with K and with the .key extension, let’s bak it up (replace accordingly):

sudo mv /etc/yunohost/dyndns/<filebame>.key{,.bak}

Then try to subscribe again:

yunohost domain dyndns subscribe popeti.nohost.me -p (it will ask for the registration password).

To try to understand what’s happening, I see this in our logs. Can you confirm these were your repeated manual attempts to delete the domain?

to others, you may try similar approach if you are getting the peer did not know the key we used. This is not applicable if you get the peer did not like the peer we used.

Edit: the key file is 3:00 p.m.

Well, now it’s working great - I didn’t have to do a thing; the cron job updated Dyndns.:grinning_face:

“The peer did not like the signature we sent” looks like a different issue. Can you try unsubscribing and resubscribing the domain, and if it still does not work open a dedicated thread?

After sudo mv /etc/yunohost/dyndns/<filebame>.key{,.bak}, then sudo yunohost domain dyndns subscribe main-domain.ynh.fr, it ask me for my dyndns password i’ve forgot.
