Describe your issue

Hello,
Comment puis-je installer une appli de Nextcloud (calendar, par exemple) ? Existe-t-il un tutoriel qu’un débutant comme moi pourrait comprendre ?
How could I install a Nextcloud application (calendar, for instance)? Is there a tutorial that a beginner like me could understand?
Thanks.

Hi PerianKew,

Bienvenue au forum!

Did you find the “Apps” menu in your Nextcloud? As an admin user, click on your logo top right for the menu

In the “Apps” screen, you can browse the apps per category (but not all apps at once, which I find annoying), and click “Download and enable” to do just that.

Calendar is in the “Organization” category. Once enabled, it will show up in the top bar next to dashboard, files and whatever is already enabled by default.

To use the calendar on another system, add the WebDAV link. Many systems come with some kind of logic to recognize your Nextcloud installation if you give them the URL of your Nextcloud. The calendar app does not display the link, but the contacts app has a copy-button to copy the link:

This menu is accessible via “Contact settings” bottom left in the contacts app.

Good luck!

Thank you… But no : I can’t see any option for the “apps”, but only…

  • Set status
  • Appearance and accessibility
  • Administration settings (paramètres)
  • About & what’s new
  • Help and privacy
  • Log out

No option (for apps) in administration settings either.

I also don’t see “Accounts” or the distinction between “Personal settings” and “Settings” in your menu, either.

Did you install this Nextcloud yourself on your own Yunohost? It seems you log in with a regular user account.

Yes… I did it by myself, on my own Yunohost… And strictly following Ynh instructions (I guess I’m not able to do otherwise).

I first created a local account (tikew.local) using my own domain name… I then created a second account (tikew.org) using my domain name but after configuring the DNS zone at my registrar.

Just below my name (“Voir le profil”) I guess I can manage “personnal settings”, isn’it ?

And I installed Nexcloud with “Applications” in YNH

Nextcloud & RoundCube work very well.

Only admins can install apps on nextcloud. The screenshot you shared is what a non admin user sees

Thank you, Jarod… I reinstalled Nextcloud with administrator privileges and, this time, it works!

You also could have managed the admin permission for Nextcloud from YunoHost’s webadmin.
