Changing Internet provider, what step by step solution?

Discuss

Hello everyone!
Installed Yunohost on fresh ssd on old pc, everything gone smooth and without problems.
So smooth that now I am bit panicking, because I was in process of ditching old ISP and switching to new one (there was good deal so paying for 2 ISPs until end of September). Didn’t got access to router for new one yet but soon will end contract with old one.
So I would ask how does Yunohost sort it out or I need to do some manual inputs in terminal?
I searched a bit but didn’t found easy to understand solution, because the simplest would be to delete everything and start anew rather than moving/editing server files.
I did use free domain option from yunohost so it’s also a factor that confuses me.

So yeah just worried that my setup worked and I need to move it to new ip, but have no clue what right steps (or maybe yunohost will solve it automatically and I worry about nothing).

Thanks for reading and hoping you will help out me, as I only have puddle deep knowledge of linux
(had set up freebsd server years ago but with looooots of step by step instructions along the way).

Welcome!

Then you absolutely have nothing else to do than plugging your server to the new router and set up the port redirection like for your old router.

If you temporarily lose access to the server, bear in mind you can access its webadmin by using its local IP address or https://yunohost.local. The Diagnosis will help you detect anything that might be misconfigured.

Thanks, was worried that I need to do some steps before I will lose access to old ISP IP address.
So all that I really need is to plug in into new router and bother new ISP so they gave access to router and manage ports…
Might be best to write down my old router setup as it’s same model which also have same headaches in setting up.

Thanks again and wish you a good day!
