Wow! So sad..
That means I lost the photos? Or maybe I can recover those? I never did a backup, just the supposed backup it makes when upgrading

Can I just restore the immich pre upgrade backup through the webUI? So I should uninstall Immich first?

Check this out maybe it’ll help you:
I uninstalled Immich using GUI (can be done on CLI too I guess), and then I restored a backup with sudo yunohost backup restore 20250823-121419 --apps immich of course the filename should be the one of your backup
It’s important to see which of the backup files is the one you should use, which is usually the biggest one.

I restored through the WebUI and everything went fine! Now trying to upgrade but it always gives me the memory issue, even if I firstly stop a lot of running services…

Could you try sudo rm -f /swap_immich
and retry?

ewilly:
sudo rm -f /swap_immich
didn’t work
here is the log
what I haven’t tried is deleting the swap_immich and also stopping services… should I go for that?
thanks!
