It’s due of a breaking change by Fix fail2ban helper for non-/var/log/$app paths by Salamandar · Pull Request #2024 · YunoHost/yunohost · GitHub. I did a fix here: Testing by yalh76 · Pull Request #509 · YunoHost-Apps/synapse_ynh · GitHub
You can try the testing now or wait for the merge on master
