First of all let me clear confusion, if i request the app in the wishlist, there is an automatic message and on github there is a ‘‘no we won’t do this’’ very old, so it’s a discussion even if it’s an app request lol
Said that, the atmosphere (fediverse but for atprocol) has now different apps and different relays and the web:plc is now (or very very soon, unlike the ‘‘soonTM’’ of past years they started setting up the swiss foundation for it) no more uner Bluesky control so…
I’d like to use some of them directly with my PDS to be honest. Particularly, I’d like to make a website with blento, mini guides with sidetrails and list of links with semble.
I don’t believe that Bluesky won’t try to fagocitate the network when their funds start to deplete, but the door is pretty open now and they are no more able to bring the whole network down with them.
So, to sum it up:
- i don’t like bluesky (twitter copium)
- i mostly don’t like bluesky users (twitter addicts)
- i think it’s stupid to have everything public for a toxic thing like microblog and twitter culture
- i like atmosphere apps
- i like the personal data storage model very much (i think that the fediverse is slow also because every new app needs the whole stack)
- i’d like to be a parasite on those freebies but keeping my data in my little yunohost
There are other implementations for PDSs if you don’t want to package the Bsky one, but i’m not sure of their admin tools (there should also be admin tools pds agnostic)
